Stocks Jump as S&P 500 Closes Above 4,000 for the First Time

US stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher. At the close in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.52%, while the S&P 500 index climbed 1.18%, and the NASDAQ Composite index lifted 1.76%.
